Watermark Remover · Last updated 9 September 2026
Your photos and videos are edited on your device and are not uploaded to our servers for processing. No account is required. We collect limited usage analytics to improve the App. Apple may separately share diagnostics with us according to your device settings. There are no third-party advertising networks or subscriptions; the App includes recommendations for our other apps.
Who we are
Watermark Remover (the “App”) is provided by Honk Honk Punch Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This policy describes information handled by the App and when you contact us about it. For privacy questions or requests, email support@honkhonkpunch.com.
Your photos, videos, and editing
The App accesses media you select through Apple's photo picker or the Photos access you allow. Photo and video processing, including effects and image overlays, happens on your device. We do not upload your media to our servers or to an online editing or AI service. The content of your photos, videos, and custom image overlays is not included in our usage analytics.
The App uses local working files and temporary copies when importing or exporting media, and stores preferences, introductory-screen state, and local app-recommendation counters on your device. It does not provide an account-based cloud backup of your editing sessions.
Saving a result to Photos requires permission to add to your photo library and creates a new photo or video. You can manage Photos permissions in your device settings. Restricting access may prevent importing or saving.
If a selected item is stored in iCloud, Apple's services may download it to your device. Photos you save may synchronise to iCloud Photos, and device backups may include local app data, according to your Apple settings. If you share a result, the destination app or service handles it under its own policy. These actions are separate from our on-device editing. See Apple's privacy information.
Usage analytics
Our first-party analytics system, HHPAnalytics, sends a limited set of events to our database hosted by Supabase. These include:
- Opening the App and selecting a photo or video, including a video's duration rounded to seconds.
- The type of editing effect or action chosen, the media type, and the number of editing regions.
- Whether saving to Photos succeeded, the media type, and the editing action used.
- Which of our other apps were shown or tapped and where the recommendation appeared.
- A random persistent identifier, the app version, device model, operating-system version, language, and device country/region setting.
We use these records to understand how features are used, find problems, and measure interest in our other apps. Events are linked over time using the random identifier. This is pseudonymous data, not completely anonymous data: we do not ask for your name or email address to use the App, but records can be associated with the same identifier.
The identifier is stored in Apple's Keychain and may survive deleting and reinstalling the App. It is not Apple's advertising identifier. The country/region value comes from your device's locale settings, not GPS, and does not establish where you physically are. The App does not request precise-location access.
Apple crash reports and diagnostics
We do not integrate Firebase Crashlytics or another third-party crash-reporting SDK. Apple may share crash reports and usage statistics with us to help diagnose problems and improve the App, according to your Apple privacy settings. Apple describes this information as aggregated or provided in a form that does not personally identify you.
You can manage this sharing in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers. See Apple's App Analytics and Privacy information. This setting controls Apple's sharing; it does not control the separate HHPAnalytics events described above.
Our other apps and network connections
The App downloads our app catalogue and artwork, including at launch, from online hosts such as DigitalOcean's content-delivery service. Tapping a recommendation displays an Apple App Store product page. We include campaign information identifying the referring app or promotion so we can measure referrals; this is not your name or email address.
Analytics, catalogue, and App Store connections expose normal network information, including your IP address, to the services processing them. Their infrastructure may keep operational or security logs. Apple's App Store and device diagnostics operate according to Apple's policies and your settings.
We do not include third-party advertising networks, sell your personal information, or share it for targeted advertising. We do not use the analytics identifier to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Support and service providers
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, such as a description of a problem or an attached image. We use it to respond and resolve your request. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
We use service providers for analytics hosting, content delivery, and support communications. They process information needed to provide those services, which may involve processing outside your country. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights or the security of our services.
Retention and security
We retain analytics and support information for the purposes described above, taking account of its continuing usefulness and applicable legal or security requirements. We do not promise a fixed deletion period for those records. Apple handles its diagnostics under Apple's own policies.
Deleting the App does not itself delete information already sent to our services, an identifier remaining in the Keychain, or results saved to Photos or another service. Manage those saved files and backups separately. Analytics is transmitted over HTTPS, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and rights
You choose which media to edit and whether to save or share the result. You can change Photos access in your device settings. The current App has no dedicated HHPAnalytics opt-out setting. Apple's diagnostics sharing is controlled separately through your device settings as described above. Stopping use of the App stops it generating new usage events, but does not erase records already collected.
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to make a request or raise a privacy concern. Because analytics records use a random identifier, we may need additional information to locate the relevant records and verify your request. Please do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are needed. You may also have the right to complain to your local privacy regulator.
Children
The App does not ask users to provide an age, name, or contact details to edit media. The HHPAnalytics events described above are collected regardless of age; Apple's diagnostic sharing depends on device settings. If you are a parent or guardian with a concern about information relating to your child, please contact us so we can investigate and address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App or our practices change. We will update the date on this page and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law.
